PORTLAND (OR) - Terwijl Joe Biden woensdag werd ingehuldigd als de nieuwe president van de VS, gingen zeker honderden Antifa-aanhangers in diverse plaatsen de straat op. De Amerikaanse vlag werd verbrand, agenten aangevallen en geïntimideerd en het hoofdkwartier van de Democratische partij in de staat Oregon werd belaagd door extremisten.

Volgens Amerikaanse media keert de extreem-linkse organisatie zich tegen de komst van de Democraat (78) en tegen de politie. In Portland kwam het tot confrontaties met ordetroepen. Zo’n 150 activisten verzamelden zich bij de Revolution Hall en sloegen de ruiten in van het hoofdkantoor van de Democratische partij in Oregon. Ook spoten ze graffiti op de muren van het gebouw. De politie verrichte daar meerdere arrestaties voor.

Ook in Seattle werden ruiten ingeslagen. Onder meer een rechtbankgebouw en een filiaal van Starbucks moesten het ontgelden.

Het zal niet uitmaken wat Biden doet de komende tijd, want als hij iets niet voor elkaar krijgt, ligt dat aan Trump's erfenis, en als hij wel iets voor elkaar krijgt en het pakt verkeerd uit, dan ligt dat ook aan Trump's erfenis, nietwaar.

Ook zo mooi gisteren bij Jinek, hoe de aanwezigen zwijmelden over de glorijke toekomst die ons in het verschiet ligt, nu Biden begint.

Instead he is on the cusp of becoming the oldest man to ever take residence in the Oval Office – his first bid having been terminated in an unlikely plagiarism row involving then Labour leader Neil Kinnock.

He continued in full rhetorical flourish, asking why the previous one thousand generations of his family never had the same opportunity, even implying that he had descended from a family of coal miners, as Kinnock does.

The speech went down in a storm. A biography of Biden, by Jeff Wilser, recalls: “Nailed it, he thought. The crowd was silent, enthralled, and even in tears. Biden left the stage feeling pretty good about things.”

But his rival, Michael Dukakis, who would win the Democratic nomination, was alerted that the lines should have been credited to Kinnock. His campaign briefed the error to the New York Times. Biden’s presidential dreams ended 11 days later.

The Delaware Senator later admitted to the mistake: “All I had to say was ‘Like Kinnock.’ If I’d just said those two words, ‘Like Kinnock,’ and I didn’t. It was my fault, nobody else’s fault.”

Washington D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden for his “corrupt actions involving his quid pro quo in Ukraine and his abuse of power by allowing his son, Hunter Biden, to siphon off cash from America’s greatest enemies Russia and China.”

Congresswoman Greene released the following statement:

“President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the Presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama’s Vice President is lengthy and disturbing. President Biden has demonstrated that he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family’s pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies.

President Biden is even on tape admitting to a quid pro quo with the Ukrainian government threatening to withhold $1,000,000,000 in foreign aid if they did not do his bidding. President Biden residing in the White House is a threat to national security and he must be immediately impeached.”

The case against President Joe Biden is vast and detailed:

Joe Biden abused the power of the Office of the Vice President, enabling bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors, by allowing his son to influence the domestic policy of a foreign nation and accept various benefits—including financial compensation—from foreign nationals in exchange for certain favors.

The evidence of widespread knowledge, corruption, and collusion on behalf of the Biden family with foreign nationals is clear and compelling.

As Vice President, Joe Biden was the senior Obama Administration official overseeing anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine. Hence, any illegal activity involving corruption conducted by Hunter Biden within or in relation to Ukraine would fall under the purview of the Office of Vice President Biden and the Obama State Department’s anti-corruption efforts. In fact, many State Department officials within the Obama Administration repeatedly registered reservations about Hunter Biden’s role on the board of a corrupt company. Thus, any instances of corruption on behalf of Hunter Biden via his role as a board member of the Ukrainian-operated Burisma energy firm were intentionally not investigated or covered up.

In 2016, Ukraine’s top anti-corruption prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, had an active and ongoing investigation into Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevsky. At the time, Hunter Biden continued to serve on Burisma’s board of directors. According to news reports, then Vice-President Biden “threatened to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss [Shokin].” After that, Ukraine’s Parliament fired Shokin.

During his father’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden built many business relationships with foreign nationals and received millions of dollars from foreign sources, seemingly in exchange for access to his father. The financial transactions which Hunter engaged in illustrates serious counterintelligence and extortion concerns relating to Hunter Biden and his family.

President Biden gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government. Through blatant nepotism, he enabled his son to influence foreign policy and financially benefit as a result of his role as Vice President. He supported his son engaging in collusion with Chinese Communist party-linked officials. He allowed his son to trade appointments with his father and other high-ranking administration officials in exchange for financial compensation. He permitted his son to take money from Russian oligarchs, including Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow.

‘Incredibly Troubling,’ ‘Deeply Disturbed’: Canadian Lawmakers React To Biden Energy Policy


Canadian lawmakers, including the country’s prime minister, bashed the United States on Wednesday after President Joe Biden rescinded a permit for a pipeline to ship oil from Canada to the Gulf Coast.

Biden took office on Wednesday and, as one of his first acts, rescinded approval for the Keystone XL pipeline that former President Donald Trump had green-lighted in 2017. The pipeline has long been a target of environmental activists and Democratic politicians looking to stop the use of fossil fuels.

“While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said in a statement, according to the New York Post.

“Canada is the single-largest supplier of energy to the United States, contributing to U.S. energy security and economic competitiveness, and supporting thousands of jobs on both sides of the border,” he continued. “Workers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and across Canada will always have our support.”

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said he was “deeply disturbed” by Biden’s decision to stop work on the $8 billion project. Kenney had threatened legal action earlier in the week after reports of Biden’s intent to kill the pipeline surfaced.

“This is a gut punch for the Canadian and Alberta economies. Sadly it is an insult directed at the United States’ most important ally and trading partner,” Kenney told a news conference, according to Reuters.

TC Energy Corp., an Alberta-based company, announced it had suspended work on the Keystone XL pipeline on Wednesday ahead of Biden’s inauguration and in anticipation of the U.S. president’s revocation of the pipeline’s permit. Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe said at the time that TC Energy’s suspension of work was “incredibly troubling.”

“Now is the time for our nations to strengthen our trading relationship, not erect further barriers to collaborative and sustainable development,” Moe said in a statement, according to the Financial Post.

The Keystone Pipeline System runs from Alberta, Canada, through North Dakota to oil refineries in Illinois and Texas. The Keystone XL addition is under construction in Canada and would have carried over 830,000 barrels of crude oil a day from Canada through North Dakota to Nebraska. From Nebraska, existing pipelines would carry the crude to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Education and entry-level jobs are all well and good, but Harris' career may have started in earnest when she met the powerful California "machine" politician and San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, "a notorious womanizer," in 1994, according to SF Weekly. Harris was 29, Brown 60 and married — but supposedly separated. He was everything in bay-area power politics and the two started a romantic affair. Brown was also allegedly corrupt, his office under investigation by the FBI. Harris eventually dumped her aged lover, but when she ran for District Attorney in 2003, Brown put his weight behind her anyway. Harris won, but "critics — including her opponents — were bemoaning cronyism at City Hall," per Politico. 

Once in office, Harris threw her former lover under the bus, calling the allegedly corrupt Brown an "albatross hanging around [her] neck," via SF Weekly. The ambitious young politician declared her benefactor all but dead: "His career is over; I will be alive and kicking for the next 40 years. I do not owe him a thing."

In 1998, a fight broke out in a parking lot in California's San Fernando Valley. Cops thought they saw a man, Daniel Larsen, ditch a knife under a car. Larsen protested his innocence, but also had two serious prior felonies, and under California's harsh three-strikes policy, was sentenced to 28 years to life, according to The Atlantic.

The Innocence Project eventually took up Larsen's case. Turns out Larsen's trial lawyer bungled it badly; his most egregious error being that he never had the knife processed for fingerprints. Sworn testimony from a retired cop also later showed Larsen never had the knife — another man did, William Hewitt. Hewitt felt so badly someone else was blamed for his crime he sold his motorcycle to pay for Larsen's bail. Larsen's attorney was later disbarred for his incompetence and a judge ordered the state to retry Larsen or let him go.

Harris could've done just that. Instead, her office fought to keep Larsen locked up — on technical grounds — because he hadn't filed his petition quickly enough. Larsen spent two more years in prison, battling Harris' office. Harris' team eventually lost its bid to keep this innocent man behind bars, via appeals court, but that didn't stop her from blocking all financial compensation due to Larsen for the wrongful conviction. In 2019, Larsen, who spent over a decade in prison for a crime he didn't commit, never saw a dime, and, "now lives in a small garage and relies on welfare payments."
